I contact every influencer on every channel
4,000 influencers contacted since the end of July. That is how I promote my apps, and here is the system behind it. It starts once you have picked the influencer, whether the name came from a database or from your own research on their platform.
One message is a coin flip.
Each person lives in one channel. One reads WhatsApp, another reads email, a third opens only Instagram or TikTok. You guess which one is theirs, and the time zone adds a second trap: sent at their 3am, your message sinks under the morning’s notifications.
So I send during their day.
One person, every channel.
I write to the same person on every channel I find. Each channel has its own rule.
Instagram and TikTok: one shot.
You get one message per account. The first 35 characters show in the inbox preview, and they decide if the message gets opened. I rewrote my first 35 characters again and again until they worked, and that alone took my open rate up 4x.
Email and WhatsApp: follow up.
Here, follow-ups are allowed. People reply to the follow-up, because they read it and feel they missed something. One follow-up is too few.
My rhythm:
- Day 0 The first message.
- Day 3 Follow-up.
- Day 7 Follow-up.
- Day 30 Last follow-up.
I follow up only while they stay silent, and their reply ends the sequence on the spot.
Trick 1: the email is always there.
Every influencer has a public email. You only need to know the 3 places to look for it:
- Instagram The email button on the profile.
- YouTube The channel page, under “more”.
- Their product The privacy policy of what they sell.
Trick 2: a few accounts.
Instagram and TikTok cap the messages one account can send in a day, so I run a few outreach accounts and grow them step by step. Each account sends one message per person.
On socials, your message competes with thousands of fans in the same inbox. Each new account adds one more chance to be seen, and over 4,000 influencers those chances add up to signed deals.
Volume, with respect.
The goal is volume. I send on every channel, every day, during each person’s daytime. Respect sets the limit: one message per account, 4 emails at most, and a reply ends the sequence the moment it lands in my inbox.
More channels, more chances. More chances, more deals.
